BALANCE Body and Mind

Regular physical activity is a foundation for life-long health. At QMS, students participate in regular physical education classes which support skill development and teamwork skills.

In addition to Physical Health Education classes led by a specialist athletics teacher, students are offered intramural games and extra-curricular sports to support fitness and personal wellness.

Junior School students have the opportunity to participate in friendly competition in cross country, swimming, soccer, field hockey, basketball, track & field, equestrian riding and volleyball. Other physical activity field trips include bowling and skating.

Outdoor Education
QMS is proud to offer age appropriate Outdoor Education trips for students beginning in Kindergarten. Trips for our Primary students are day-long excursions that engage and inspire, while building their critical thinking skills.

In Grades 4-7 students enjoy overnight Outdoor Education trips to camps on Vancouver Island. These trips have students involved in physical and team building activities, while growing their understanding of positive leadership.
I'm proud to work at a school that is committed to creating opportunities for growth and professional development for staff that positively impacts student learning and achievement.
