Welcome Parents and Guardians

This section of our website is to help keep you up to date with school activities and volunteer opportunities.

Each year, members of our community are invited to nominate School volunteers for the QMS Community Link Award. For the full criteria and details on how you can nominate your volunteer champion, download the form.
Nominations are due May 31, 2022

Every year, QMS is grateful for the army of volunteers who selflessly support our school. When parents model our school motto of "Servite Fortiter" (Serve Ye Bravely), our students see the value of giving and engaging with the community.

Volunteering with QMS also gives participants a wonderful opportunity to connect with staff, parents and the community. If you are interested in becoming one of our beloved volunteers, please fill out the form below and return it to your child's teacher or to Reception.

Volunteer at QMS

Our local parent-owned and operated businesses have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 global pandemic, so we want to encourage our community to shop local. In the spirit of supporting community, please find below the digital QMS Parents & Alumni Business Directory.

Are you a QMS parent or alumni who owns/operates a business on Vancouver Island? Please reach out to us to include you!

We have an opportunity for our parents to promote their businesses at Queen Margaret's School through our Equestrian Signage Sponsorship. This sponsorship will run from February 2021-June 2022 and has been assembled to offer your business maximum exposure throughout this time. Questions? Reach out to Heather Bartfai, Manager Alumni & Community Relations, at 250.746.4185 ext. 105.

The Royal Reminder bi-weekly newsletter will be emailed to parents every other Thursday afternoon during the school year with news, stories and current events.  If you are not receiving yours, please connect with student services at QMS is also on the social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. Join the conversation!

QMS' caring teachers challenged and encouraged me to go far beyond my own expectations. It was exactly what I needed to develop the tenacity required to succeed at anything in life.
